Will adding media to my Ca reactor increase effluent potency?

Hello I pull water through my Ca reactor at 17ml/min . Ph is always 6.6. My media level inside has dropped from about 70% full to 50%. If I refill the reactor with media to its original full level do I need to decrease the flow through it in order not to geta spike in Alk/Ca ? Thank you

Does that mean by using the same type of media there will be no spike? Or there will be a spike until the new media starts to melt and settle in? Sorry I'm not clear on what you meant..

It means maybe, and maybe not. lol

One way to possibly know is to compare the alk of the effluent to that of folks using the same media at the same pH. Barring that, any sort of calculation will be so fraught with possible error that the best way to know is to just try.
