Hello, quick question for the community, coming from someone expecting to upgrade their 3 gallon pico to a 12-gallon Reef Casa all-in-one in 2025.

I would like to try getting a bubble tip anemone for my clownfish when I upgrade. My understanding is usually one can expect to spend anywhere between $50-$150 for a nice rainbow BTA. I intend to use that tank long-term, as I don't live in big spaces here in New York City. As the anemone grows, splits, and matures, will it take over that system?

My worry is that the anemone and its babies will eventually sting and kill all the coral. I expect to have mostly softies and some LPS, including euphyllia and goniopora.

My cousins 120 gallon is overrun with them. He started with one and in about 4 years they has split enough his whole rock structure is covered!

they can take over a tank and that seems like too much money for a regular rainbow bubble tip. i sell mine for like 10-20 because i have tons and its not easy to sell them around here

Rainbows and rose split frequently and have the potential to take over a tank. I would suggest a black widow bubble tip or another like a colorado or Chicago sunburst. These don't split as often
