I have had similar situations pull through myself in the past.

These are recent saved of frags rtn during shipping. I took drastic measures w super glue to isolate the die off. Works, most of the time.

You can see the tenuis is encrusting over the super glue, despite algae. I mean how does sps encrust on algae covered rock?

That is awesome, pretty tenuis too. I have tried the superglue trick only one time, and didn't have much luck, but would not hesitate to try again if the need arises. Definitely a good tool/trick to have in the toolbox!

Woa, its been a hot minute. Kida forgot about poor Bill just chilling on the rack. I did strip off the rest of the dead skeleton, except that one little spot where it is starting to curl. Looking pretty healthy now though, even if growth is still pretty slow.

Once it starts going vertical it’s going to take off. But it just takes time. Either way it’s impressive.

I love seeing this stuff. I have a couple of itty bitty pieces growing myself. I'm only 2 years into sticks and find it feels pretty darn good to save one once in a while. This one is my first success. Getting it out and into my SPS tank was the game changer I think.
