a Yuma of mine got a bit too friendly with one of my good goniopora. It stung my goni to the point of exposed skeleton.while still extending, it doesn’t extend nearly as much as it did before. What are the odds of it surviving? Can gonis regrow flesh in places they lose?

After some rockwork reconstruction the yumas are elsewhere and the goni is as close as I could get it to its original position.

Pretty good. Yes, it can recover and grow over the old skeleton. I've had this happen to one of my gonis (it just takes time).
That’s good to know. It’s a relief to know as this is one of my more successful gonis. It’s doing well enough that it has managed to encrust on the rock.

It may grow in a different direction or re-cover it at some point, but it does happen.
