Hello!

Recently got a 28 gallon nano cube off of Facebook marketplace!

The manufacture date is 2014. Will this be an issue?

Fill it outdoors. If no leaks I wouldn’t worry about it. Maybe that’s just me being an optimistic gamblin man lol

If this is acrylic, I can’t see that seam leakage can be an issue.

If you do a leak test and it checks out fine. You would be ok to use that tank

Cubes are basically bulletproof! Nice find.

What’s the best method to clean the tank since it’s used? Citric acid? White vinegar?
EIther or if you have it. Vinegar will take longer, but is considered "gentler" I like keeping a spray bottle of citric and scrub with some rags, then rinse with RO water.

Fill the tank with tap water, add either vinegar or citric acid to the tank, turn on a circ pump, and let it "cook" for some time. The deposits should just dissolve away, no scrubbing needed 🙂
