Will my feather duster survive?

I know this coral is going to grow and so will the feather duster, but will the coral over-run the duster?
 
Either way there is really nothing you could do. I would think yes, eventually the coral will grow over the worm. The coral will shield it from getting flow which will slowly starve it.
