I plan on connecting an airline from my skimmer to the outside, will doing this provide me with a stable pH?
The pH drops happen at night when I close my window, I left my window partly open for a few days and it didn't drop as much (skimmer off)
I mostly leave my skimmer on during the day to help take in the fresh air but what if I flipped the cycle and had it running in the night while it pulls air from outside
would my pH swings be way smaller if I did this?
right now my set up is very basic
- 20 gallon long
- 20 gallon sump
- reef octopus 150 int (overkill I know but my smaller skimmer kicked the bucket, mainly used for air exchange)
- return pump
No macro algae or chemical filtration at the moment
tank only has 3 main inhabitants
2 clown fish (currently in the sump, they were rough with a torch and nearly killed it)
1 banggai cardinal
