Heres what happened, Im fighting dinos, specifically procentrum, and I started dosing silicates. I used sponge excel, and dosed 5 drops into 10 gallons. The drops did harden upon contact with the water and turn into white flakes. I know that silicate based solutions are caustic to humans, but I'm not sure about fish, and my clown did mouth and maybe ingest a medium sized flake. It is eating fine and swimming fine right now, but this only happened maybe 5 minutes ago. Any advice, or has anyone experienced this?

The consumption of the precipitate is likely not going to be a big deal. It is likely either magnesium hydroxide (like milk of magnesia) or colloidal silica, or both.
