Unfortunately no, I can't feel him try to grab my hand when I hold it. Usually they do right away.

Got him in there. He was unpack within 5 minutes of delivery. Floated until temps matched and drip acclimated for about an hour which is probably over kill under normal circumstances.

I purchased one of the brightest btas I've ever seen and it came today. Unfortunately everytime they look like this, they don't make it and that Frickin sucks because I've never even seen this one. It's called a skittles bta and it came from corals anonymous. I've always had good luck with them in the past. Can someone help me out if there's a chance to save it? I placed it in the specimen cup after drip acclimating it.

The foot does not look the best but place nem in clean water with moderate flow and low light for now

I wouldn't put that particular anemone in my tank. IMO it's too far deteriorated to introduce to a display unfortunately. I hope I am wrong.

That would be considered a DOA, they shipped you an anemone that’s was dying or in very bad shape.

Yeah, I don't think it's going to make it. Has anyone seen that type of bta before? It would have been breathtaking if it made it.

I reached out to them as soon as I opened it up. The worst part is that I had to go out of state last week for a family emergency and my wife's friend was supposed to feed the fish. I showed her exactly what to do and when I got back my wrasses were dead, shrimp were dead as well as other things. When asked what happened, she said, "I wasn't really feeling it so I didn't feed them." How messed up is that?

How’s it doing this morning? I had a BTA that looked almost like that when I came home from vacation and my house sitter crashed my tank (it was under six months old then, so I shouldn’t have even tried an anemone yet but there we were). Anyway it kept floating around, so I kind of propped/wedged it between two rocks so it wouldn’t blow around. Hind sight, I wish I’d gotten a brooder box or something to put it in to recover. It wouldn’t attach to anything, and its tentacles were GONE. Everyone said I should toss it, but it was still alive so I couldn’t. I don’t have photos of it in that state because it made me sad. For perspective, here’s a photo of what it looked like after TWO AND A HALF MONTHS of recovery (so imagine what it looked like initially). I was excited and took a pic to show the shop owner that it was finally getting its tentacles back. Second photo is what it looks like now, almost exactly one year later. If it pulls its guts back in, just give it time.

It's mush, still has color on its tenticales but the rest is Grey blah.
