I think an aqua bus cable is a standard USB to USB cable.
 
AquaBus uses USB cables, but standard USB cables longer than about 16 feet typically have a repeater device which is incompatible with the Apex because USB devices work on 5v but AquaBus uses 12v.

+1 the apex aquabus uses standard usb cables. But they don't use standard usb protocols. They state everywhere not to plug in usb devices.
