I am not finding a good google photo to compare the nests too, I do have another post I made I am trying to figure out what these blobs are.. curious if these look like the nets?If that's what it is, they're not particularly welcome; they produce a mucus "net" that covers and irritates corals.
I am not 100% I got the rock from a pre existing tank. But these rocks dont sit under the light and was near the casing. I’ma buy some bumblebee cuc that should take care of that pest. Not at all certain about those - is this "dead" rock, or ocean liverock? Possibly some kind of sponge??
Will be interesting to see if anyone has answers on offer - or to see what they grow into!

I poked it with my scraper and it seemed like it sucked in ? I can try a reaction with a light. The “nets” you are pointing out in the pictures, do they retract in and out fast if you shine light on them or get near them with anything? They may be a type of feather duster. They almost look like little tentacles.
Thats okay I am still learning too and yes vermetid looks accurate I ordered some bumble bee snails to eat those. Curious how I ID the feather dusters thoughThere are a lot smarter guys and gals on here than me, but you may have vermetid snails and some little feather dusters.
