So I am at a loss, I’ve had a fish in QT for a couple weeks now. I’ve been using copper power pretty steady at 1.75, I’ve done a course of Prazipro and general cure along with furan 2. Now all a sudden my hippo has at a distance looked like ich. But upon closer inspection it almost looks like little worms sticking out of the white spots. It was very hard to get a picture but I did what I could. Also after a 5 minute freshwater dip non dislodged. Any ideas?

Too small to tell, anchor worms were what I was thinking but I always thought they were super rare and would dislodge in a dip.

Nope, they usually have to be pulled and then give the fish a bath in antiseptic like Ruby Reef Rally. But they usually are longer than those in your post.

Taking a second look, it looks more like really bad lympho. Sometimes it presents as cottony filament strands as well as the usual puff ball shape.

If you look at the spot on his dorsal fin in the second pic I would say lympho also. That’s a pretty bad case of it though.
