I am thinking of getting the Everglow IT 2040 Led light for my reef tank. Is one of these enough for starting?

The tank is a 40 gallon breeder.

1 will be enough to start but IMO you will need 2 eventually to get full coverage on the tank

Agreed. Also it would all depend on how high you put it above the tank, you could get some good coverage with it up high enough.
