would you spend $500 on a ozone generator or $500 on a filter floss roller for water clarity?

I am thinking about getting a ozone generator with the air dryer and orp controller for $500... or would reef be better served with a RED SEA REEF MAT ROLLER FOR $429?
You don't need to spend $500 on ozone.

You can pick up a unit for a spa for about $50 on Amazon.
I've been using one of those for years.

Anyone that says ozone isn't worth it for the water clarity has never run it. If they have, they need an eye exam.

You can not get the water clarity that ozone provides from anything else. BRS actually just released a short video on that this morning.

Ozone also has numerous other benefits besides water clarity. It kills odors from the tank and helps fight toxins from corals.

To answer the OP on another part, you very likely won't need an air dryer. Save your money there unless you know the unit will be sucking in 50% or higher humid air.
Can you elaborate on the dryer part? Won’t you still need to take out the media and dry?
