i was admiring that LTA too when it was on their site a couple nights ago. Not that I can afford it, but I was thinking to myself, man, that would suck if it dies. C'mon we all know the risks involved in keeping an anemone alive, even if it seems healthy at the store. Cipro/antibiotics doesn't work 100% all the time. Then there's those annoying instances where you have an established tank, perfect params, and it still dies--albeit GRADUALLY, wasting away (taking months to die!) ... and then you'd have to stare at your 2 grand purchase wasting away, knowing it's probably not gonna make it, but still holding onto hope that it lives ... talk about depressing!

as you can see, I stick to cheap, affordable purchases haha

I bought a Merten's anemone from these guys. I'm in SoCal. They shipped it without any heat packs. It arrived cold. I acclimated and put it in my tank even though it looked terrible. It melted and was polluting my tank by the first evening. I emailed them and they basically said to leave it in my tank and see what happens. Not buying from them again. They sacrificed a several hundred dollar animal just to save a couple of bucks on heat packs.

I tried several new vendors in 2023, including a site advertising fully quarantined healthy fish. Most of these new vendors were rubbish. I'm going to wait to buy from my trusted vendors this year.
