I currently have a 75 gallon reef tank with the following fish: 2 clowns, royal gramma, yellow watchman goby, tailspot blenny, and a blue sided fairy wrasse.

Is it possible to add a pintail fairy wrasse? Primarily wondering about the two wrasses together. My blue sided wrasse seems very relaxed.

I also plan to add a tomini tang, likely last, FWIW.

Here is a helpful chart for wrasse compatibility

I would avoid the pintail as it tends to be very mild mannered and can be easily bullied. The few I have kept have been that way. @i cant think has had the cyanopleura before iirc. Maybe he can comment.

Whilst I’ve not had a Cyanopleura in the long term, I do currently have a Randalli (It’s closest relative) and have Aquamarinus (another close relative from that complex) I wouldn’t add a Pintail as this complex as a whole is quite dominant, I wouldn’t say aggressive as they do calm down after a while but you will see their dominance grow.
I’d look more at these complexes:
Rubriventralis
Rubrimarginatus
Lanceolatus
Laboutei

With a better idea of the tank dimensions, rockstars etc. I can probably give a better idea of what specific species to look at.

Thanks for the feedback. Honestly, I'm after a red/pink/orange fish, not a wrasse necessarily. Something with that color scheme.

I've already ruled out most of the common ones for one reason or another - flame angel, hawkfish, sunburst anthias, etc.

If you have any recommendations, I'll definitely check them out.

Tank dimensions are 48 inches long, 21 high, 18 inches deep.

I have a Midas blenny who is a pinkish orange color with bright blue eyes if you are just looking for a cool fish in that color scheme. Extremely peaceful with lots of personality. One of my favorite fish to watch. Can be a little hard to find though.
