wrasse lover please help!!!!!

Ok i normally dont worry about because they are a good clean up crew but now the bristle worms in my tank are starting to over populate, i saw one last night that was between 9"-12" i have considered setting a trap and will do so if need be but i have always been told that certain wrasse will eat them. This is where i need the help...im going to buy one possibly two of them this weekend, in yalls opinion what is the best reef safe wrasse to stabilize the bristle worm population and keep them in check so to speak

Ive heard the vroliks will too but from what ive been told they arent reef safe

Any of the "reef safe with caution" should help with small bristleworms. That would.be the Genus. Halichoeres primarily, the Genus Pseudocheilinus will do it too, but get nasty to other fish.

I was going to suggest H. Melanarus​. Now I'm pleased that I was right. :D I also know arrow crabs help with bristle worms.

My Vrolik's has been a model citizen. He lives with 2 blood shrimp, 2 skunk cleaner shrimp and 2 pistol shrimp without incident. I did blame him for some snail losses though I never saw him do it....quit blaming him when I found the whelk and the two large polyclad flatworms. The snail deaths stopped when I got rid of those suckers.

I had a melanarus that kept all that in check, but also wiped out my snails population

For the record no wrasse will eat a 9-12 inch bristle worm lol. Trap that one the nn you can depend on a wrasse to eat the smaller ones.
