recently introduced a pintail in my tank and my jeweled Halichoeres lapillus became a bully and I ended up losing the pintail. Looking for a less shy wrasse that has a better chance of getting along with this guy. Any recommendations?

Current stock list
Foxface
jeweled halichoeres lapillus
Goby
2 frostbite clownfish
Tomini

Unfortunately though, I'd say without buying a larger wrasse that's already transitioned to male you're likely going to be very limited with the Halichoeres.

The pintail is one of the more timid of the fairy wrasses. If you want a fairy wrasse look for ones that may be able to hold their own like the Whipfin, Sailfin, or Red Fin. A mystery wrasse would be an option. One of the Anampses type wrasses like the China Pearl wrasse could work. It also very much depends on the size of the tank too and how the rock work is structured to give them hiding places.

How big is your tank? And how big is your current wrasse?
