I’ve seen some people writing coral names on frag plugs. Is this okay or would permanent ink have anything bad that could hurt corals over time?

I wouldn’t think it’s safe, I won’t even float a new bag in my system if it has permanent marker on it

Maybe with a dremel you can etch it onto the plug? Never tested it or anything in the long run but might work.

I have seen people writing on the stems of the frag plugs with a permanent marker. Typically I have seen this on sps frags. I have not seen or heard of any negatives to this.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
