WWC bounce shrink

This is the WWC bounce I bought last year Aug.

after few months later, all balls and the whole mushroom getting smaller and smaller. It was 4cm when I put it into my tank and now only 1cm only. However, I keep monitoring my Kh which is 7.3 ,Ca 380 and Mg 1200. Until now, it has been 5 months and still 1cm only.

Any recommendations for healing my WWC bounce? I’m so worried :(

Do you add any iodine to the tank? I find my shrooms and zoos love iodine. They puff up almost immediately. I use lugos iodine 2 drops per week in my 93 gallon
BE CAREFUL tho you don’t want to overdose .. this is strong stuff

Mushrooms don’t care about alk and CA much. More important parameters are no3 and po4. I shrunk and killed my shrooms (along with my Acropora) with lack of food. I recently starters dosing amino acids(bright well) and iodine Lugol (1 drop per 25 gal) weekly and all of my mushrooms are looking great.

Also I add ME Coral Nitrate and keep nitrates around 5ppm. Of course add this only if you nitrates register 0. My tank drifts to 0 very quickly so I add this every other day. Shrooms love it...Hope this helps.

I’m really appreciated your comment. It’s because I have never seen Nitrate liquid can be added into tank. There is no such product sold in Hong Kong.

I bought an OG bounce a month ago and recently it started receeding and not getting as big as it should be. talking to some other bounce owners, OG seem to be hit and miss sometimes in peoples tanks. a guy i know have bought 4 of them and each time, none made it in his tank, he put them in another guys tank and they are coming back. i just moved my shroom to another tank this morning, after doing some iodine dips and not seeing much improvement.

Have you tried a bacterial dip like cipro or furan 2? If not, I highly suggest it.

Really? Will it affect other coral?

No it doesn’t, just make sure you rinse the coral off in some tank water before placing it back in after each dip. Someone recommend me to dip for 4 days straight atleast

How long do I dip it per each time? How many hours or minutes?

I happen to have some of the Lugol iodine, does it have any negative effects on coral? If, not what benefits does it give to corals? Sorry to hijack thread

Can this harm the mushroom? How does one prepare the dip? What is the proper amount for a dip in a small container?
