I know that a lot of hobbyists use Wyze cameras to remotely monitor aquariums. If you do, you should take a look at this article that details the recent data breach involving 2.4 million users.

Shouldn’t we be proud that people wanted to peek at our tanks? ;Hilarious

Kind of figured there’d be something about these pretty soon with all of the deals theyve run lately.

Great cameras, just point them at your tank, nothing else.
I agree about pointing them at the aquarium and related equipment only.

My main concern is that the company stated that they will be emailing customers. If bad actors exploit that by emailing customers from the breach before the company gets their legal team to review their statements to customers, then it’s likely that unsuspecting customers will be fooled and lose additional privacy, data, and possibly finances. :(

Enable 2fa, isolated guest network. I have 8 v2 in use, very happy with them.
(had a fur buddy in hospice, thats how i got started with them over a year ago)

Now days people should be smart about emails. Dont use email links, check return emails address, same with other fishing emails, right??

Seems spam is always fishing, discover card frozen, pay pal secured, action needed, congratulations, click here.....

Finances?? Also don't reuse passwords for different sites and devices, this way if compromised, it's limited.

Good to know, just bought one from Home Depot that turns for $35
