Hey all,

I woke up Sunday to a leaky tank. My 32 BioCube is having some kind of an issue and water is very slowly seeping from the bottom ;-( I rapidly searched and picked up a RS XL425 Classic. Seams are in perfect order and the tank was very well cared for. It was sitting dry for a year and I already moved it to my house. I bought some water and began setup yesterday. I noticed that the down-flow (or the one that feeds into the roller mat) bulkhead is leaking. I believe that the seal might need to be replaced on the down flow pipe up above. I removed it from the bulk head and someone had put plumbers tape on it previously.

I am pretty stressed as now I have a slow leaking little tank and a large 4 footer that I cant fill with water without a major leak.

My question is, since I have the large tank dry right now, should I or can I replace all the bulkheads? Just the O-rings? what is the consensus here? The other two bulk head for overflow and return did not leak at all and looked good. Please let me know and feel free to DM me and we can jump on the phone if you feel so inclined to help. I really would like to get the parts I need ASAP and get this thing running.

A quick update,
IMG_2925.jpeg
I was able to remove the return and two down flows and noticed plumbers tape on both of the down flow connections above the bulkhead. Is this recommended as a leak solution? I ordered the replacement O-Rings but they will not come until Friday. Thanks all in advance for any help. This is my first Red Sea product and I am doing all of this setup for the first time.

Well no one replied but I will comment with the resolution. I removed all tape and replaced seals and everything sealed up nicely. Unfortunately, my reefmat 500 wouldn't turn on after replacing the roll. Opening a ticket with Red Sea. Things are rolling nicely now and I have moved all my rocks and fish to the new tank with a bare bottom for now.
