Hello, very new to forums in general but, I’d like some information on xr30w gen2 lighting. In particular I need need to tune in the light to a 15x15x15 nano reef, the tank mostly consists of hammers, Aussie lords, acan echinatas, zoas, montipora, and duncans. The light is roughly 16” away from the surface. Any help Is really appreciated!

I would be running around 35-40%, AB+, and adjust your schedule so you have 6 hours of higher intensity light and the rest is lower for mainly aesthetics.

Id probably also swap it for a XR15 as youre going to be lighting the room more than the tank.

Haha that’s hilarious, it did indeed light the room well, but i totally enclosed the light on all sides. I’m currently running a tweaked AB+ with it being 8%W 5%G 5%R at 35%, I got to that point after manny videos. So I really glad to hear you advise and how close I dialed it in. I’ll be implementing those settings slowly but surely. The light I got for $150, so it was either I buy an almost 10 year old radion or an AI prime light that was much more practical for my size tank, I just went with the better light as it may live long enough to see a bigger 60-90G cube that I would love to have. I will totally get an xr15 when the deal comes along. Thanks for the info Kooma you’re a life saver!!
