So I bought a yellow corris wrasse and the very first thing it did when I added it was it dove directly under the sandbed and I have not seen it once in 3 days. When should I start to worry if its alive or not?

Possibly weeks. Seriously. I added a small one before and didn’t see it for at least a month.

I once didn't see a newly added wrasse for 3 weeks. A yellow coris can easily hide for 3 days. Keep us updated but I wouldn't worry just give it time.

Thank you all for easing my nerves. He had a small tear in his fin when I got him so I was worried about his health. But seeing it's normal to hide like this I'm a little more happy

I swear I had one disappear for a good two weeks before reappearing, healthy and fine. By then I had checked the floor all around the tank, and written him off as ‘killed in action.’

I haven’t seen mines in about 2 months. I think I can say he buried himself alive. Poor thing

Check out Ocean Devotion LA, Adam has been great to deal with. I havn't received any fish yet but will be getting my first QTd order in a couple weeks. Prices are very competitive even if you as for quarantined fish.

Not uncommon for them to do this for a week or more. There are even examples where they disappear for 3 weeks before coming out. *EDIT* just read that you found it dead. Sorry to hear that, such a gorgeous fish. If they are weak when you get them it's just luck of the draw unfortunately.
