I will be putting this guy into the main system in a couple of weeks. The main is a 460 gallon 8x3 foot mixed reef that is in transition to SPS dominant.
Current residents Pacific Blue Tang, Achilles Tang, Yellow Tang, Blonde Naso, Blue Eye Kole, Sailfin Tang, Purple Tang, Bangaii Cardinal, Firefish, pair Clowns (Ocellaris), Pair Aptasia Filefish, Melanurus Wrasse. All of these have been in tank approx 1.5 years no big issues. What are the chances this will go smooth. This is an open platform Island type aquascape so not a lot of caves or hiding places. I guess my main concern was firefish who is currently hosing in a cavity under one of the platforms. Tank has 2-2.5” of special reef grade.

They will move large amounts of sand from under rocks so make sure the rocks are grounded.
Mine keeps my 35's sand bone white. I do have to move the sand back from the glass periodically as it likes to pile it up when making caves.

They also spew sand everywhere. They can take a mouthful and swim to the surface while filtering it the whole way up.
I just readjusted the sand to give you an idea. It will be back like the first pic in a few days.
