He looks pretty good sized to me! It does look like a typical yellow scopus :)

I want to say I have seen them for sale for around $150-$200 but prices vary by vender A LOT.

So it’s half yellow and half scopas
And is this different then what I was talking about
If you look at the tail end of the Hybrid Scopas Tangs, it’s brown and the main body colour is yellow. If you look at this fish, it’s the same scenario;
Hybrid Yellow Scopas that went up for auction a few years back.

I saw that. I know what you mean yeah sometimes he’s all yellow and sometimes he’s yellow with a darker tail.I wonder if he’ll look different in better and blue lighting

Yeah to me that’s a hybrid and I dread to think what the price for those guys is now… it was bad enough when the yellow was at 40-80 (In the UK it was £40 for a decent sized YT), but now the YT is in the 250’s I bet the hybrid yellow x scopas has skyrocketed in pricing aswell

Hear the U.S. I don’t swe yellow tangs anymore you have to buy them online and they are very expensive it’s crazy. I saw one hybrid scopas x yellow tang go for $250. I must’ve lucked out getting one for how much a regular scopas cost

The genetics hasn’t been conclusive either. One day we may well find that Z. Flavescens is really Z. Scopas Flavescens or Z. Flavescens Scopas.
Really that’s crazy
