Absolutely Fish in Clifton, NJ (def one of the top reef fish locations) is right at $250 for captive bred ~2"ers and $400 for the big boy grown adults (Hawaiian).
I've probably bumped into you at AF before. I'm there sometimes several times per week. (Not to hijack thread)

Seen some quarantined ones going for around 475, but the going rate I've been seeing for adults is something like 350-400. Too pricey for a fish I bought for less than 30 bucks when I started out.

Theyre slowly creeping up into Gem Tang prices. I would hate to see the day that yellow Tangs become the most expensive of the Zebrasomas...

Very likely then. Add the reef club discount and I wasn't too displeased with the pricing. I know you and I were on the live thread for reef tide this weekend too - small world :).

Btw, AF has some incredibly impressive frags for first time in forever. Minus the ones I bought friday. Had my eye on one or 2 HUGE Valida colonies were like $200 or 250 (plus the 20% discount). I might give them a call around lunch tomorrow to see if they still have them. I'm talking $160 for a football sized piece of tricolor valida

Just seen a Yellow Tang at my LFS for $799+tax.

What’s the priciest yellow tang you’ve seen?
And they expect someone to buy that? Anyone want a tang more expensive than a gem tang?
