I've read though (i believe) every thread on here and on several other fourms. A lot of times old threads never seem to post a happy ending.... or any conclusion at all
I have a 100g tank that's been running well for just over 5months now.

I've had a few corals for a while and have always planned to have a bta. So, before I got anymore corals I might need to move around I ordered a "black widow" anenome from top shelf.
Received it about 3 weeks ago, it shipped perfectly and I got it in the tank. It stayed on the rock I placed it on for 2.5 weeks, maybe moved 6" to the right one time. It would catch whatever I fed the tank and seemed to me had definetly grown in those two weeks.
Every night when the lights started to dim it would start to Shrink down into the rock it was attached to. Every morning when the lights first started coming on I could see the tips of the bubbles in that spot and within 30min it would be back out, woken up for the day.
5 days ago it disappeared. No hint, no pieces, not in overflow, not in sump. We keep waiting Every day hoping he'll show up somewhere, but I'm starting to lose hope.
I have 2 clowns, purple tang, gamma, a starry bblenny, 5 assorted snails, one blue leg, emerald crab. 2 peppermint and one cleaner shrimp
Does anything on my list seem capable of consuming a ~baseball sized anenome completely, in one night?
Has anyone had a bta disappear for longer than 5 days and end up reappearing?
Sad face :(
