I help about every person i know of that needs it...why?! Haha. It drives me nuts sometimes when I get asked things over and over but sometimes I get a little bonus thrown in.

I was explaining quarantine procedure to someone who got ich. They have a 125 with clowns and other smaller fish. And...

In all reality, these are good people. They may accidentally throw a shark in, forget what actinic means, or call me at 1am with emergency fish stories, but they are polite about it at least and sometimes these instances catch me when I am I a bad mood and cheer me up usually. Sometimes though after I say stop buying fish without quarantining them a hundred times and they get ich I want to pull my hair out.

I'm starting to think maybe we need to enact a national quarantine law. Either pet stores must quarantine all animals, or tank owners should be required to have a quarantine setup. Then we make a database for individuals and if they have certain animals it restricts them to other types.

For example: if you have a blennie than you can not have a shark!

I'm just imagining all these fish they have in quarantine with the shark, sounds like a fish horror show!

You have to remember there are no stupid questions,well maybe. lol But we have to be patient and keep helping people with all there questions and concerns wheter it is stupid or not. I am sure all of us have asked a stupid question at one time or another.

Oh the first question was how to treat ich, which is a legit question aside from the massive amount of information about it.

Part B was where I keeled over. That was like asking me if this wild bobcat can share a kennel with a sugar glider.

I gladly passed them on a good quarantine info link and then began trying to convince them of the 2 reasons not to keep a shark in a 125 reef tank.

2) SHARKS EAT CAR BUMPERS!

Yeah it takes a big shark, but proportionately this shark can still swallow most full sized aquarium fish. Aside from him being a danger he is in danger. Sharks may be beastly but they have soft scaleless skin that can get infected from scrapes from the rock. Another reef tank no no
