How did you get into Okinawan style? Were you a Marine? Were you taught in Okinawa? I was taught in Okinawa and then I was a student of Ju-Dan Nagle for almost a year. Was a hand to hand combat instructor in the Marines for a little while. I also taught at Little Creek, VA for awhile. Anyway, I shouldn't talk because I don't practice anymore. I learned several styles, but Isshin-Ryu is what is natural to me. Sorry for rambling, just brought back a lot of memories.

This is such an interesting thread and backs up what I've been saying for years. "Generally, people that keep successful reef tanks are very intelligent people". So, think next time you talk down to someone on the forum. I'm a disabled Marine, 16 years. Got blowed up in '83, and got shot in '89, but that didn't stop me. After the Gulf War I figured it was somebody else's turn and got out. And, can't be a very good Platoon leader if you can't run without a lot of pain, so I got out. I have a few degrees, but I don't use any of them, except for my own aquariums. Okay, I'm a small time general contractor - commercial metal buildings mostly. Build some cabinets sometimes.

Service manager for a heating and cooling company

I'm a research assistant in a psych lab =)

EDIT: I also own my own cichlid breeding company, but that's just an off-shoot of the hobby. It comes nowhere close to paying the bills!

I work full time for an industrial construction warehouse distributor...think home depot but for large scale industrial type jobs.

And I also have my own handyman/construction business on the side. Which before I moved was turning full time, but I'm starting over with it again. Hopefully soon it becomes my full time job. It is So much better working for yourself.
