Your Profession

i wait tables full time during the winter months and then I do landscape design/maintenance when it warms up and wait tables on the nights and weekends. Tip your servers folks! even if they do a bad job. $5 minimum below a $20 tab and 20% above that. Even if they do a less than stellar job! Leaving a poor tip or no tip means we are paying to serve you, you pay to be served when you go out and not tipping or poor tipping is basically stealing. Ok sorry, rant over.

Amen brother, I serve, bartend and manage a small Mexican restaurant in Phoenix. I couldn't agree with you more.

It was Mystic Station, down in Everett MA.

What is funny, is we have a large city named Everett in Washington.
So I tell co-workers that I went 4000 miles to work in Everett for a company called Washington Power ( general contractor for the project)

When I worked there, I was treated like a king. The people of local 16 were awesome.

I wanted to stop for just a second to acknowledge those of you we're hearing from who serve the public, you nurses, paramedics, doctors, firefighters, police officers, military personnel, and anyone I left out, THANK YOU for choosing to do a job where you might have the responsibility to save a life today! A lot of jobs carry a whole lot of responsibility (I'm looking at you, airline pilot! :) but few are so directly responsible for others' lives as part of their job descriptions. I'm glad you're there.

I originally got my medic with every intention of going to PA school but I have since realized I want to be in the ER and feel the RN->NP route is better suited for me.
Although I also really enjoyed my OR clinical and working with the CRNAs so that may be an option too.
