My partner and I got a 13.5g fluval as a starter into the saltwater hobby in August. And of course, quickly expanded. My local LFS was selling a 36g bowfront, a personal tank of one of the workers relatives - it had been dry for less then a day, came with a solid stand, and the seals were still in great condition. After a few weeks getting the necessary equipment, I were finally ready to get it set up. The 13.5 had been home to a goby/pistol shrimp pair, a six line wrasse, and a pair of clowns - all juveniles. The smaller of the clowns passed before I got the new tank. No signs of illness in the other fish after 2 weeks, and the expert from the shop suspects it was the fish itself, not a contagious illness. Talked to my LFS expert, and during the tank switch I slipped in a purple firefish and a new juvenile clown. I added the final fishy inhabitants on Friday - 3 chromis. After a few headbutts and one or two nips, everyone has settled in!

As of now, there are
Paired clowns - Picasso female and mocha storm male
Six line wrasse
Purple firefish (the aggressive one of the tank, go figure)
Orange striped prawn goby (aka Randall's goby)
3 blue-green chromis

Tiger pistol shrimp
Skunk shrimp
2 peppermint shrimp
Tiger conch + a variety of snails
Blue, red-tipped, and Halloween hermit crabs
Pompom crab
Atlantic black spiny urchin

There are also a lot of corals in the current pictures - the majority are going to my partners tank next weekend. He's going for a large variety. I'm waiting for his to go before getting any more, but I'm looking at focusing on softies - hammer, torch, frogspawn, zoas, and ricordia.

As someone still new to the hobby of fish keeping, I welcome feedback, suggestions, and tips!

Tried to go white, still ended up with a blue video. When my partners corals are out and mine are mounted (got the par meter, frag plug cutter, and more glue a few days ago) I'll get a better video!
