Growth and color in corals is stunning.
But some Acropora changed the original color to green as you think with what it can be connected? Of great importance in the UV spectrum?
Your assumptions?

Thanks! It's been a great addition to our tank and the contrast between body and tail is something you just have to see in person to truly appreciate. I wish you luck in finding one for your tank.

Yes, that was a tough loss. I appreciate the compliments! :)

The pictures were taken over a pretty long period of time, which included a change in lighting (halide to LEDs) and a change in tank, so it's really hard to pin-point why they've changed color over time.

I'll aim to get some new growth pictures so you can again compare the shift in color and growth. Thanks for checking into this thread!

Glad you found it! Thanks for the very nice compliments. Hoping to get some new pictures up after some maintenance this weekend.

As promised, I took some more pictures yesterday. I haven't had a chance to edit all of the pictures but I wanted to share the current full tank shots from both the AGE and the smaller ADA and some "actinic" shots. I'll be posting more soon so stay tuned.

And, try to ignore the bubble algae in some of the pictures, it's a constant battle! :)

This mille is starting to turn into something cool. Both an actinic and regular shot:

This one is turning out to be similar to the pearlberry but it’s not quite the same…again, bubble algae :(

I posted an actinic shot of these two but here’s a daylight shot.

Red planet just hasn’t looked the same since the transfer and I’m 99% sure it’s because it’s not getting enough flow but I don’t have another place for it so it’s staying put.

This one continues to impress me but it really needs be seen top down (as pictured) due to how it’s growing in my tank.

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Wow! that was a marathon picture update (or two). It is GREAT to see your corals looking so healthy and colorful and we love that you shared pics under both actinic and normal lighting.

Truly one of our favorite reefs and we always look forward to your updates!

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
