Hi all,
Recently I noticed my zoas came back to life after they looked pretty dead for months. Around christmas they started to close and look like a "blob" for weeks. I have seen bits detaching from the main colony and they looked white-ish with no more tentacles. Then I decided to toss the plug in the sump just in case some pods were feeding on it. 2 weeks ago (after 3 months) while cleaning behind a rock I have seen a polyp floating in the dt, still closed but not rotten.
I checked the plug in the sump and MAGIC. Is alive again :)
For the ones that did not know zoas could do this, even if it looks dead 100% it could be still alive. Give it time! (In my case I finally managed to bring nutrients down).
Incredible.
