Zoa Roots?

This is my first zoa, got from a good friend.

It has grown nicely since I got it. I've noticed some red threads that definitely branch out from the Zoa.

Tried to capture it with my phone. I've marked in red where there is a concentration, the threads all lead back to the Zoa's base it seems.

not at all. they're good to have. I'd rather these than bristle worms any day
