some of my zoas in my collection have some long stems, how do you make it grow so it'll be shorter?

Is it something with the light intensity or higher flow? I do have huge skirts in the zoa polyps just a long stem.

Opposite... think of a plant stem. Not enough wind long skinny stem. a lot of wind short stalky stem.

the ones on my frag rack tend to be extended longer is it b/c its too far away from the light? I have it close to the brace of my tank.

really depends on the type of zoa/poly that you might be talking. lights and flow can effect the stem length some polyps have long stems which is normal while zoa's will have short or no stems. picture would be helpful.

here is an example of a normal polyp's with normal long stems.

That is how mine are. My pink palys are right noext to some yellow zoas. The zoas have no stems but the palys have long stems. I mean they are right ext to each other. Same flow same lights.
