I’m no expert, but I find that zoas stretch due to a lack of light, and low flow. I keep my guys in a moderate flow with high light and they stay perfect. Added a picture for reference.

Definitely. Like it was stated above, yes they will. My WCC Superstars have about 3/4" stalks on them when I got them from the lfs and within a few days the polyps were flat to the plug.

Crazy thing is,they were under Radions's hung about 3ft above the tank. I have them under a Prime 16HD at about 14w and 14" from he sand bed lol.

You should be okay, how far off the tank is the light ?

Yes I have, anything you dose I HIGHLY suggest testing for. Excess Iron will cause an algae bloom as well so be cautious.

Ok thanks for the tips

so the height from the surface of the water to the light bulb area is about 5-6”; the total tank height is about 24” ( tall tank); zoas are at the bottom and about 6” off the bottom; so height from light to zoa is about 24-30” depending on the placement of the zoas
