Currently using a Dual 39W T5 fixture over a 2oL and I'm having problems with some zoas losing color even though they're on the sand. What could it be?

The system is a 20L lit with the stock Aruba Sun Atinic and an ATI Coral+ bulbs .For filtration I have about 20lb of CaribSea Hawaiian Black sand, 15lbs of BRS dry rock and for flow I have a Jeboa PP-4 working in synergy with an Aquaclear loaded with Seachem Matrix. As of last week the dKH is 7.5 Calcium 410-420 Mg 1200 NO3 0ppm P04 0ppm all tested were with Salifert test kits. The livestock list includes 3 PJ cardinals,2 green chromis, pygmy angel(he doesn't nip on any coral),Raniford Goby, scooter blenny, lettuce nudibranch, arrow crab,10 red leg hermits and 6 assorted snails. @NanoDJS

I had been dosing KNO3 manually for a couple days, but I've been slacking lol, something I've noticed is that even though I raised it to 2ppm in one day it was back to .1ppm within 5-6hrs I think it might be because of all the xenia I have(this was originally meant to be a xenia dominate tank).

Its low but its def not Zeros. The Xenia tell a different tale.

It is possible its an acclimation problem, its actually a pretty good amount of light you have in there. Its also possible they dont like that many xenia in the tank.

xenia,,missed that ..good luck with that one,,xenia will not help any coral if it gets out control,,it always ends up a xenia tank in the end
