This is great! Fluvial canister filter do the filtration & there's no substrates... just few LR & works wonderful..... Nice! Will try that set - up on my other tank...

Thank you! So far it has been a very fun, low stress tank. I am absolutely in love with it!

impressive. I'd have thought you were doing much more frequent changes. I think I have to due to the SPS in my tank demanding cleaner water.

I run the dirtiest tank this side of the planet. My acros love life with me.

I'm starting to think like you Kat. My big tank has been doing much better since leaving zeovit. The dirtier it gets, the happier my acros are. Nutrient import and export :)

I am going to order some mangroves and chaeto next week maybe. Nitrates are starting to creep up. What else should I put in the fuge? Don't want anything that will go sexual or invasive.

I dose bacterias in a bottle, - Dr Tims, and Microbacter7 with every water change. Try red grape macro, also gracilaria, dragons breath, blue ochtodes.

Thinking about one of these skimmers from Mame

The tank runs pretty clean, but it can't hurt. I think it looks pretty cool also ;)

I have a planted tank background, so I find all this stuff super cool. Would like nice with the lily pipes too.

This tank is awsome!!

Thank you!!! Means a lot.

Sorry I haven't done any updates lately, but things are steady. The gold torch has been working on splitting, about to be 5 or 6 heads now. Some of the zoas have popped out a couple new polyps, and the acans are puffy and happy. Maybe some new pics this week.

Yeah i love evrything about this tank..... except that it's not mine.. :) I think MetroKat was on the money with those macro choices, i'm hoping with my next sump that I am capable of having more of a dispaly fuge.

Not much to report :(

I've been wondering....now that the contest is over, can we add more stuff? ;)
I've been dying to add another couple pieces, but wasn't sure how long the tank had to stay within the 500.00 budget.

So it looks like tom is the last day for updates! Going to bust out the camera and take some awesome pics. It looks like I actually stuck to all the rules and what not! I'm surprised that I didn't blow my budget :)
I think that was the hardest part...it looks like I did the 2 times a month minimum updates and all that. My wife says she proud of me, she says i have commitment issues

Anyways this was a ton of fun. I enjoyed the other tanks, and I most def enjoy mine everyday!! Pics to come Tom after a good clean up!

Today is the last day for pics for the contest. I decided to take a couple quick pics. The contest was only a couple of months, but it was cool to document the growth. In those months my torch split and is working on another head, acans popped out a couple polyps, zoa's also grew a couple polyps each, and have about 5-6 new rics from splitting. I don't think that's bad for a couple months! I had a lot of fun with the contest. Good luck to all! Well here are some pics...enjoy :)

Also I have a couple receipts posted in the thread, but figured I should make a list.

Scoly $80.00

Torch $120.00

Red acans $30.00

The other 3 acans are from AquaSd live sale. It was 5 for $60.00
I kept 3 for this tank and put 2 in my big tank. That's $12.00 each minus the 50% discount
That's $18.00 total for all 3

The zoa's were $6.00 each from Aqua Sd also. That's another $18.00

The rics were $170.00 originally. A lot of them have split and grown like crazy.

That puts me at 436.00 in coral. Wish I had time to get some more pieces in it, but I've been super busy. I don't plan to take the tank down, so it should be getting some more awesome pieces soon!
