Hey I am new to Phyto and just got started growing my own culture on Saturday. I bought Mercer of Montana Nannochloropsis. Was looking to get some advice and feedback on my phyto and if I should change anything. Once I get a batch of phyto my plan is to culture my own pods.

It looks like a bottle inside a bottle. I assume I’m seeing it wrong.

For larger containers I find it helps a lot to make an air-ring. You don’t want fine bubbles but multiple sources of large bubbles keeps the culture moving. This is especially important if you have a non motile variety like you.

Yup! It’s one deer park, 3 liter bottle. There is a regulator on the bottle but I have just giant bubbles coming up making the surface agitation almost wave like. Not sure if that is too much movement.
