Oooh! I really like your setup for water changes. That's what I would like to do with mine so when I get to that point I may need to pick your brain. By the way I really like your artwork on the wall. Is that a school of pompano?
Love to help, so many here have helped me. The fish on the wall are a school of Lookdowns

Man! 14 months. Kudos to you... I couldn't do it. But obviously it was worth it in the end. Congrats! :)

I'm really into bicycles and RS reminds me a little of Vanilla Custom Bicycles. Sacha has a wait that last I checked was like 4 years.

Keep in mind that mostly all these task are already done, I'm just taking you for a ride on the way back machine. My plans were to have a sump room, being that I'm getting a little far along age wise, I didn't want to be bending over and crawling under a stand, plus I wouldn't have to be worried about skimmer size and having enough space for equipment. So as it was ther were two small coat closets on the wall behind where the tank was to be placed. They were adjacent to each other separated by a wall. Once I established it wasn't a load bearing wall, demolishion began

The floor was tiled, room painted and construction for the counter and sump platform began. Added a couple more outlets, hopefully will not need a dedicated circuit, guess I'll find out soon

Ordered a custom sump from Synergy Reef. Rick did a great job and I'm still being impressed with the newer things he is doing. Here is what I got. And if you don't recognize it, that's a life reef skimmer, a d2mini influence, thanks a lot for this because prior to being alerted to these, which skimmer to get had my head spinning.

240g Reef Savvy
72g Synergy Sump
Reeflo hammerhead
Life Reef Skimmer
Apex Gold
Stenner Dual head pump
Giesemann Spectra
Gen 4 Turbo ATS. When they start delivering
Max spect Gyre xf150 + Ice cap interface module.

Ok fellow Reefers, some more equipment and progression shots
Synergy also built this 4 section dosing chamber. In my previous tank I dosed Vodka, had a Hugh what I thought was, bacterial bloom, image.jpeg image.jpg image.jpeg image.jpeg that pretty much wiped out that tank about two months ago. Most of my fish survived except a wrasse but I'm going to an ATS this time around. Also in these pics are the GHL doser 2 that's later connected to the dosing chamber( love this doser ). And you see the Stenner pump and the red tuning coming out the top of the RODI storage tank that go through the attic to enter the fish room running down to the sump. Black and Blue AWC and Red ATO
