I like using emoticons sometimes but I never use it because I'm not sure of the meaning. Could be put your money where your mouth is, show me the money, someone has money or to save money or Is wasting money etc. What do you folks that use it feel it means?

I've always used it when I see someone get a good deal or showing how much they spent/saved on something

As you stated there are multiple uses for that emoticon. I think people all use it differently but what you said is how some people would use it.

It means that what you are saying is correct, as in "you're on the money".

It's a weird one to interpretation.
For me it's a gesture of 'you have money to spend' basically you have bags of money.
I've seen it used alot in regards to a perfect setup to... adding fish that die every month.
I guess interpretation depends on circumstances along with where it's used

I use it both figuratively and literally, sometimes seriously, sometimes jokingly!
