Scientific Name - Chiloscyllium punctatum

Common Name - Brownbanded Bamboo Shark

Size - 40.9" (104 cm)

Min. Aquarium Size - 180 US Gal. (681 L)

Foods and Feeding - Varied diet of marine meaty foods, fresh shrimp, scallop, marine fish flesh, specially prepared frozen foods for sharks. Feed to satiation 3 times a week

Reef Compatibility - No. Will eat crustaceans and small fish. May topple coral and rocks not securely attached.

Captive Care - Readily acclimates to captivity but, may take a bit to commence feeding, a proficient digger, provide large overhangs and ledges for hiding and security. Will breed in captivity if the tank is large enough. Lays eggs on sand and takes from 140 to 165 days to hatch depending on temperature.

i have a shark egg in my tank how would i be able to tell if the shark is still alive. tried looking at it but didnt see the shark move at all in the egg
