I'm looking for suggestions for a nice splash of yellow on my reef. Suggestions?
Softies
LPS
Leathers
Zoa/paly
shrooms

I'm probably going to get flack for this but I say parazoanthus.

In truth, those are the yellowest thing I've seen.

Yellow is a tough color to come by. For LPS there are sometimes yellow plates, and there's always the yellow sun coral (Tubastrea sp.) but keep in mind that it is not photosynthetic. Also, there are some yellow pagoda cups/scrolls (Turbinaria sp.) as well, and these are photosynthetic.

Thanks! These are great suggestions so far!
I have seen some of the parazoanthus before, so may go look at them again.
The sun coral sounds interesting...and I don't mind spot feeding, so may look into those as well
I really think some good yellows in the reef will really POP against all the purples and pinks of the coraline

i have had a yellow scroll coral for about 3 years. it remains to be the "crown" of my tank. In my experience it has been a really hearty coral thats easy to care for. I got it as a frag for my 14g biocube and it did great.
imo i would get a scroll as opposed to the yellow polyps. My boss has some yellow polyps in his tank at my job and under actinic lighting they just look like a dookie brown tone, whereas the scrolls polyps seem to glow.

How about a single head of a gold torch.
Not totally yellow, but very nice.

I also think the yellow turbinaria is an excellent choice.

Wow! The scrolls and the Tubastrea are both gorgeous too.
This is gonna be a hard decision.

Well yellow torch/hammer would be awesome. Might also be able to find some cool yellow ricordea.

These are all GREAT suggestions guys! Thanks SO much. I have a lot of research to do and than the fun of hunting one down

Probably not what you were thinking, but a yellow tang cruising in front of the color of your corals could be the yellow pop you were looking for

A yellow tang would be nice, but the tank is just way to small. Will certainly have one in the FOWLR build I'm doing.
