How to post pictures in your thread from your P/C

It's a common issue and some folks do not have photobucket or anything similar. Some folks would also rather not upload their pictures to the internet abyss and then have to transfer them again to a forum. With the forums these days there is the option to upload directly from your P/C to the forum in a few steps. Hopefully with a small tutorial it will help these folks to upload and show off their photos for others to enjoy too.

First: Click on the frame with the tree in it:

Then choose "From Computer" and then "Select Files"

After you click "Select Files" you will get a pop up that will show pictures available for upload. I made my own folders to save my pictures in, otherwise you need to know where your photo is saved and go to that folder.

Select the photo you would like to upload and it will be added to the "File Name" box, then click "Open"

The file/ photo you chose will then show up in the "Insert Image" box, Click "Upload File"

Photo too large to fit in to thread

Maybe you took that awesome shot and want to post it in the forum. BUT you upload and it's too large due to forum limitations. NO PROBLEM!!!! Resize it!!! Easiest way without a photo editor...............PAINT!!!

Select the photo to "Re-size" and select the down arrow next to "Open", then select "Open with Paint"

Photo was selected and is too large to post due to size limitations

In Paint select "Resize and Skew" (the two picture frames above the "W" in skew) It will pop up this option box, then select "Pixels"

Change the "Pixels" to something smaller than the original (1024x768 is a good size for posting) Also, when you fill in the "box" it will change the other box automatically. Then click "OK"
