Hello everyone,
I have experienced a lot of success In the hobby over the last few months, with the additions of new corals (thriving) and stabilizing my water. I feel like I’m starting to understand and feel the rhythm of the hobby more and more, and I would like to dip my feet Into the sps...
Al my LFS in there display tank there is quite a large and spectacular Acropora colony that I have been hoping for a frag from. Enter a big blue hippo tang with a case of the zoomies!! The following pics show the acro, the culprit, the aftermath, and my little score! It is now happily placed on...
I've been battling aiptasia in my acro-dominated tank, which is just around 5 months old.
I have ~a dozen sps frags, and a pair of rainbow acans. Several of the older acro frags are starting to encrust onto the rock or at least over the frag plug, and the acans have dropped several heads.
The...
Hello everyone , old but new here, been in the forum for quite a few but wasnt active , now im really into this forum, im a hobbyist, who started with a 65g tank back in 2019, lost all my coral in 2020 and built back ever since. Ive build so much that im grateful of being able to be a vendor...
In my latest post I asked about the health of one of my acroporas as it seemed to have been bitten, it is complitely healed and in fact it si growing a new branch.
The problem is with two of the acro frags that I recently moved to the final position after a few weeks on the center bottom of the...
My reef has been running for 8 months now - we've got LPS, softies, BTA, derasa clam and a few plating montiporas.
My goal was to wait until the one year mark to try acros, so ahead of that, I wanted to run my selection by some experienced people to see which you would recommend first, second...

Hi everyone. I guess advise needed however I’ve pretty much given up on this frag, that said keen to learn for the future. This frag did fine in the tank for a while although no polyp extension at all then it started receding. However recently it has started extending very nicely but still...
Yes I need to make some frags of this blue green teal whatever you want to call it birdsnest as it's growing so much.
Also have frags of a purple digi, blue green stag acro, orange cap, neon green crystal experiment Monti,(super cool as it encrusts caps and grows vertical) and some GSP...
I have huge sunlight from window to the back of the tank and it's fun that the part of coral which received the sun directly has more colour and growing form to the direction to the sun, the more contact with the sun, the more coloured and growing up.
Here my whole tank to easy imagine...
Just wondering if there’s anybody out there with some specifics on the PVC aquascape type set up TSA holds their acro grow outs in. I really wanna try something like this for a new SPS system I’m currently putting together.
@TSA Corals @TopShelfAquatics
I posted earlier about possible bugs on acros and as I was treating the tank with interceptor this flatworm showed up on my glass with a sack of eggs right next to it. Is this an aefw or another type it is zoomed in so not that big.
Hi, I noticed some of my corals are losing some of its color and not looking the healthiest. I took a flashlight to them tonight and see bugs crawling all over them. Are these the dreaded black bugs or something else? I have linked the video. Thanks for your help!
