    Tank pests?

I left my house for 2 days and came back to my tank with these guys in here. Anyone know what these are? The video isn’t very clear but they look like baby shrimps. If this helps, I turned off the lights during those two days to try and get rid of some of my algae and see how they would respond...

Red and white eggs on torch

Hi, This is my first time catching eggs on a new frag. I have a heavy euphyllia tank so makes me nervous and don’t have a hospital tank. I scrapped as much off as I could and dipped. No worms noticed. But there is 2 different kinds of eggs. Red and white. Should I keep dipping and scraping ...

    What on earth are these?!

They look like limpets or chitons the size of pinheads, attached to my refugium’s glass pane, but they jitter and have pulsating appendages like isopods. What do you guys think? Below: location of pulsating appendages, circled in red.

    Strange Spiked Growths

I have absolutely no clue what these things are. They came on some LFS live rock, which I believe originated from the Indo-Pacific. They have no holes, feel quite tough, do not bend, and have small “tufts” on their spikes. They also do not appear to have grown since I introduced them a few weeks...

Any idea what this snail is

I've been sent a photo by a friend asking what sort of snail these are, he said he's been having some issues with hair algae recently and as it's dying back he's started to see these. Said the only snails in the tank are trochus and nasarius snails but these don't look like either of these so I...

Wassup Reefers, Cleaning my sump today and found this little thing on my skimmer. I have only seen one once before in my tank a hand full of months ago and it was between a frag shelf and the glass. Help Identify this Isopod!

Dipped some zoas and found an alarming number of these guys floating afterwards. Hoping they’re just another harmless inhabitant, but I’m looking forward to any answers/advice - 6 line wrasse is in QT and will be in the display in about 1 week.

what the heck is this? Baby Bristle worm or flatworm?

I have no idea what this is but it looks scary af! It wasn’t in my actual tank, it was with some chaeto in another tank. the picture doesn’t do it any justice- this is when I pulled it out dead. It looks furry on its sides. Also when it was alive, it extended its body to look longer.

    Living FISH in my mysis!!

There was a living fish inside my mysis pack! I want to take care of the little guy if possible, but I have no idea what living conditions he needs. He's been in a fridge for who knows how long and somehow survived, so I guess it's cold water. Would it be ok in a reef tank? I tasted the water (...

Pests are the best part of this hobby

I’ve been very overwhelmed with setting up a coral qt and I got to thinking— maybe the possibility of pests isn’t such a bad thing? Having the perfect “pest-free” tank with 100% assurance feels a bit....sterile. In a sick way, I kind of enjoy the slight possibility. Pest prevention practices...
