My wife bought me this skimmer for our 60 gallon cube. It took forever to work correctly. After every water change we do, it overflows for days. Sometimes 1 day all the way to a week. I’m so frustrated with this thing. It is in the correct water level. Can I get some pointers?

They are the same price. I have a 60g cube and 40g breeder as a sump. Im custom building so footprint doesn’t matter. I cant find many reviews for the dfc, is the dc pump worth it at this price point? Thanks for the help!
