I have a Kessil Spectral X controller that has a 0-10 v control port (3.5mm) I have an audio jack (3.5mm) I plan to cut and test to hook to my ballast.

Newb question: I mean it seems this port should read 0-10v considering the controllers setting. Is it AC or DC voltage?

Should I be able to hook this to a dimmable 0-10v controlled ballast? Anyone have experience doing this?

Sorry misread original post.

I am not sure if it will control anything but the intended light fixture. Best case scenario if it doesn't is nothing happens. Worst case scenario is you fry your driver or the controller.

DC. Should be. If this is a control signal, and not the actual power source of the fixture then it should work out

Just to note, I believe the Kessil X 10v port is 0-10v output, not input. Wasn't sure what your intent was, but wanted to mention that.

Yes, I would like it to control my dimmable ballast which has a 0-10v input. The Spectral X has an 0-10v output port. I broke one of my Volt meter leads so I need to buy a new one this weekend and test.
