What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
What is his business listed as?
LLC files differently as say an S-Corp which is different than a sole proprietorship.
Let me know and I can help.
I've owned 2 restaurants and an auto shop over the past 15 years.
It makes a huge difference.
opposite spectrum. gives new meaning to Meal Brakes. still own the auto shop?

Am I being petty or over sensitive? I stopped by the LFS to look at goldfish but the ones they have are sick and not for sale right now. Anyway the owner was talking to two other ladies and when he finished talking to them he totally ignored me and walked of didn't say hi how are you today or anything. I was going to get a couple of plants but that just really rubbed me the wrong way. There is no way he didn't see me because he seen me walk into the fish room and I walked right by them to look to see if they had any new saltwater creatures. He's the only store local so I'm stuck either driving an hour or ordering online if I don't shop there. It's sad because I have spent a lot of money over the years there and I do prefer to shop local but today has me second guessing going there.
It's really hard to say without being there, that said, i also try to give a little leeway. Not a lot necessarily but maybe he's having a really bad day and had to pretend like he wanted to talk to them or something? If you tell me this is a repeat thing then my opinion changes fairly quickly. I know sometimes I get frustrated my best approach is to just get away from people pretty quickly :grinning-face-with-sweat: i don't think it rubbing you the wrong way is overly sensitive.we all have gut reactions and I think we should listen to them. It's how you react to it that's hard to say.

I think it would help more this year to take it all at once since we had the sale of the property. I think in total he spent about $18,000 on tools and equipment.
If you have an accountant now is a good time for a meeting before they are booked solid.
Most good accountants can help and only charge when work is done, not on a retainer.

No.
Never again.
Most stressful unrewarding line of work in the world.
Feel sorry for all mechanics especially those working in sub zero temps.

Too bad we can't claim pets as dependants i would be set then! 20 dogs, a cat and a horse would really help. Lol
Dont forget fish! You'd be able to claim your electric bill as well lol

Aiptasia most likely. Could be a Curlycue or Lightbulb but I doubt it.
its the first time i've ever seen aiptasia in a tank there. at first glance I thought it was some type of sick nautilus. it was a really large turbo shell. bigger than golf ball. might have been intentional.

It depends.
Sometimes you can.
I deduct all expenses related to my stray cats at the restaurant under exterminator.
I have never seen a mouse in 5 years at this location.

Nope no accountant we go to H&R Block every year he keeps every single receipt for any material or supplies he buys and we add them all up before we go.

That's great! My fish tank helps prevent excess cash problems! It exterminated that pretty quick!

Well my cat left me two mice as a present on the porch the other day so she could fall under that category.

yeah, I can't imagine trying to change oil even in this cold or during rain.
not that its an auto shop but once went to jiffy lube. a worker started screaming like a little girl from changing the oil on the car next to me. apparently a mouse dropped out of the air filter during changing then ran up the wall of the building.

I was working on the wife's car and found a mouse nest under the engine shroud so I got the shop vac and sucked it up and the amount of mice that started *thoomp thoomp thoomping* into that vacuum was wild.....

On average h&r block is more expensive than a personal accountant.

welcome to salting the roads in the north east.

And i feel like a good, local business, personal accountant is actually trying to do a better job than a H&R block employee who really doesn't care as much

The worst part believe it or not is how dirty and trashed people's cars are.
Some of them literally made me yack.
Seriously.
